The eight-round heavyweight boxing bout was fought to completion with a unanimous decision on points to decide the winner.
On Friday night, veteran boxer Mike Tyson faced off against Jake Paul in a heavyweight boxing match that lasted eight rounds. Paul, who gained fame as a YouTuber before starting his boxing career in 2020, won by unanimous decision in a bout that most viewers described as sloppy.
Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul
After achieving legendary status in the ring as a world heavyweight champion in a career that began in the 1980s, Tyson retired from professional racing in 2005 and then laced up his gloves to compete in exhibition fights for several years. The 58-year-old's last bout was in 2020 against fellow former world champion Roy Jones Jr. Paul, 27, had been training for several months since his first bout was postponed. The couple's training journey is chronicled in the Netflix documentary Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson.

During a standoff between the two at the weigh-ins on Thursday night, Paul crawled onto the stage, stomped on Tyson's foot and kicked him in the face, after which Tyson punched Paul in the face.
Paul and Tyson have been promoting the Netflix showdown all year, which was postponed from its original July 20 date. The event was broadcast live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and featured a series of preliminary bouts before Friday night's main event. Roy Jones Jr., Mauro Ranallo and Rosie Perez provided ring commentary. Sean Wheelock served as rules and scoring expert, and Mark Kalooi was the referee.
